Even Better than a Rape Whistle!

You wanted an Anti-Rape condom?   Well you got it!   Ask and you shall receive!  LOL.

But seriously…

South African doctor invents an ‘anti-rape’ condom.

A lady doctor in South Africa invented a contraption that will help reduce the number of rapes and ensure that the rapist is caught!

South Africa has one of the highest rape counts in the world!

One of the major benefits of the Rape-aXe system is the fact that it helps in the prevention of the rape victim contracting an STD like HIV. An additional benefit of the anti rape condom is the fact that it helps in the prevention of unwanted pregnancies resulting from rape.

Dr. Sonnett Ehlers dedicated the last 40 years and $135,000 to creating the Rape-aXe.  It’s a female condom equipped with teeth.

Yea, you read it right… TEETH!

To make it all happen, she sold her house and car to front the money for the Rape-aXe’s creation.

Now… Are you wondering how the rapists will get caught?

Well, the only way to remove the Rape-aXe is to go to a doctor which also doubles as a confession.

I’m not 100% sure where those can be purchased but I heard on The Philip DeFranco Show that you can get one for $2.00.

I’ve heard this won’t work for several reasons:

    A. Many if not most women in SA are gang-raped. Hurting one rapist might make the others joke at his expense, but it won’t stop them.
    B. This supposedly does no permanent damage and doesn’t penetrate the skin. You can verify this claim by a little web research or going to the original CNN article. In any case, unless the guy is immobalized with pain and she is able to get away quickly, what’s to stop him from beating her or killing her?
    C. This can be misused by vengeful, spiteful, or crazy women to hurt their lovers as well as to falsely implicate someone as a rapist. While I don’t think this will happen often, it will happen and more than once.

And lastly, this thing has been rumored about for years. If this was April, I’d think it was an April fools joke because for whatever reason when it was written about in the past, it never made it out to the consumer market in SA or anywhere else.

In short, of limited use. Might be useful for a single attacker, but the victim better RUN and not look back. Probably better to allow women to be armed with guns and maybe a dog breeding program for guard dogs until SA can get its act together. 😦

Well when you put it that way…

I think it’s a step in the right direction. But you’re right. There is a lot of worry that came along with the product. Many think the device would enrage rapist even more and making them more violent.

At any rate, I think the Rape-aXe it’s a step in the right direction.

It’s still going to be up to South Africa to actually place penalty on men who think sex is a right.

God forbid women start killing men off. The prisons would be jam packed and the men wouldn’t have anyone left to abuse except for one another.

I hear that bear mace does a good job of discouraging attackers as well. It is much more potent than regular mace, and it sprays farther.

    @ Samantha,

I’ve had it in mind for years that all females should be taught compulsory martial arts from the age of 7 to 14 in schools. Just think, it only takes a single instructor to teach dozens of students in a single session so its not like its expensive.

I Africa the same should occur. Imagine Far Eastern nations sending 1000s of instructors around the world to change the whole culture of the streets (that is how men view a single woman out walking late at night and vice versa).

    What do you think?

      @ Menelik,

I think that is a great idea. When I was younger, I was put into boxing. I think that helped me out a few times.

Teaching women how to protect themselves would also offer confidence which would in turn make women brave enough to press charges against their rapist.

      I like how you think!

    @ Samantha,

yes, and martial arts will also tackle the obesity issue, as well as making men more respectful of female physical and psychological spaces. I thought of the idea when I grew tired of all the rapes in the Congo, and the general threatening manner in which some men in groups speak to lone females on the street.

Something of a very radical nature has to be done, and if it can encapsulate a public health message as well as a safety one, then so much the better. Perhaps you can carry my idea to your local chapter of NOW (half joking).

Teaching martial arts in the schools reminds me of a cheesy movie I saw a few days ago. ( I am guilty of loving bad fight movies) It starred Mark Dacascos. Maybe it was called “Only The Strong.” He went in to the bad school to teach delinquent boys Capoeira to show them responsibility.

I think it’s time they get a female version of this movie. heheh.

I don’t box anymore, but being that I manage a cage fight team here, I have been looking to get back into it.

Is that the dancing/fighting movie? I remember watching one of those when I was younger, I loved it! I had a huge crush on the lead actor after that, hehe.

Dancing.. not so much. I mean, Capoeira itself is a form of Brazilian Martial Arts mixed with dance and music. (I prefer Kung Fu or Ninjitsu to Capoeira.) So, we’ll just say yes. hehehe.

I agree though, Mark Dacascos is quite beautiful. LOL. He also played the Crow in the series.
